Busch East Driver Maxime Dumarey Tests At Talladega In Preparation for ARCA RE/MAX Series Debut

Talladega, AL (September 26, 2007): NASCAR’s Maxime Dumarey, a regular on the Busch East Series, Grand National Division, tested yesterday afternoon at Talladega Superspeedway in preparation for the ARCA RE/MAX 250 set for Friday, October 5th. The 94-lap, 250-mile event will be Dumarey’s first start in the ARCA RE/MAX Series.

“We had a good test. Being out there was like nothing I’ve ever done before,” said Dumarey, whose background prior to the NASCAR Busch East Series was in European road racing. “This will be my first restrictor plate race and I’m looking forward to it, but I could not have done it without being at this test. We accomplished a lot here today.”

Dumarey is driving the #94 BODYCOACH.NET Chevrolet Monte Carlo entered by Fadden Racing. It was a well-rounded effort for the team to get Dumarey to Talladega. Olsen called on long-time friend and respected NASCAR NEXTEL Cup car owner Frank Stoddard of NO FEAR Racing to help in preparing the car for Dumarey’s upcoming debut. The team then paired with ARCA RE/MAX Series driver Bryan Clauson to use the #94 that Clauson has competed with all year.

“We wanted to make sure we had all our ducks in a row when we came here,” said Dumarey. “We didn’t want a half-hearted effort. You can’t do that at Talladega. We have a lot of good people involved in this effort, and I’m confident all the hard work everyone has put into this deal will pay off.”

Dumarey finished 19th in the NASCAR Busch East Series final point standings in his rookie season of competition. Dumarey posted two top-10 finishes – his most recent at Dover International Speedway last week.

“Max has come a long way since his first race at South Boston just a few months ago,” said Mike Olsen. “He’s got a lot of potential to go far in this business and I’m happy that I can help him get there. It’s pretty exciting to be a part of it.”

Dumarey will return to the 2.66-mile superspeedway next week for practice on Thursday, October 4th. The race will serve as a precursor to the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series and NEXTEL Cup Series events on Friday, October 5th.
