Jody Lavender continued to have strong runs with a 5th place finish at the Adirondack International Speedway in New York last weekend. He is now 10th in the NASCAR Camping World East Series points even though he did not compete in one race earlier in the year. Jody started 17th and moved up to 7th but two pit stops sent him back to the rear of the field. With less than 50 laps remaining, he worked his way from 23rd to 5th.

Jody said, “The car was great at the first of the race but then it got too tight. After two pit stops for adjustments, we got it back close to where it was at the first of the race. The longer we ran, the better it got but we ran out of laps. This is a tough race track and as usual, the competition was tough. We were lucky to stay out of all the wrecks and survive with the car in one piece. A lot of credit and thanks goes to car owner Jimmy Burgess, crew chief Todd Graffam, and all the crew members for helping us be competitive with our small operation.”
