Motion Racing Looks to Future
“We had really hoped to come out strong in 2008," McRae said. "We prepared diligently all winter long making sure the equipment was top notch and ready to race, but a driver hasn’t really stepped forward. Karl Osha from Brad Leighton’s championship teams has been great to have working regularly in the shop, now we just need someone to wheel the car for us. We’ve had some irons in the fire, but nothing firm has materialized”. Motion Racing has proven in recent years that it can be very successful in developing young talent. Driver Sean Caisse finished 7th in points in 2005 in a Motion Racing Chevrolet, which helped springboard the young driver to a ride with Andy Santerre Motorsports. Sean has since competed in ARCA, and will be the driver in the Craftsman Truck Series next year with Germain Racing. Motion Racing has also worked with young drivers John Freeman, as well as current CWSE competitor Johnathan Smith. Young gun Joey Polewarczyk made his CWSE debut in a Motion Racing entry earlier this season in Thompson, CT. “It’s been really disappointing this season to have to sit on the sidelines," said McRae. "After the success we have had and the strides we have made in recent years, we were real eager to get back to racing this season. We have a really good program put together to be able to tackle the CWSE. We have great cars and crew ready to go at this very moment. The car that has finished 3rd and 6th the last two times it was at Dover is sitting in the shop ready to go, and so is the Loudon car. It would be great to get back to the track and mix it up, with the right driver, we could put on a good show.” Motion Racing has top-flight cars available for the upcoming Loudon, Dover, and Stafford races. Whether you are an up and coming rookie or a veteran driver, Motion Racing can help you compete in the CWSE from the get go. We are looking forward to the end of this season, and would like to get a jump on 2009. We are also available for testing sessions and consultation for drivers looking to step up to the CWSE.
